On 26 February 2017, I left home at 4 am and boarded a plane to Melbourne to attend a fundraising event for the Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance where Joel Salatin was the keynote speaker. After jumping in a hire car, I drove for a little over an hour to Jonai Farms in Eganstown, Victoria. We had tours of the farm and saw their meat processing room, the free range pigs and Joel Sultan talked about cell grazing with cattle. It was a great day to catch up with Chicken Caravan customers from Victoria and chat to others that are starting pastured free range egg farms.
